Lying between Val Thorens and Courchevel, Méribel lies in the heart of the world famous Three Valleys. Linked by a network of excellent ski lifts, the Three Valleys are widely regarded as the largest and best skiing area in the world.

Méribel itself is one of the few resorts where development has been limited to retain the area’s traditional charm. All buildings are constructed in classical alpine style with simple stone and timber chalets and apartments rather than the concrete monstrosities, which are all too conspicuous in other resorts.

Boasting over 600km of well-maintained pistes, and the largest number of snow cannons in the Alps, the Three Valleys are paradise for the winter sports enthusiast. The scale and variety of skiing brings people back year after year.

For the experts, there are 37 black runs including the infamous couloirs to be conquered and almost limitless miles of off-piste routes to explore.

The intermediates can look forward to long and beautiful groomed blue and red runs on which to hone their skills, whilst beginners can practise on the wide and gentle slopes cutting through the forests surrounding the altiport.

With Courchevel’s sheltered wooded runs and Val Thoren’s altitude both easily accessible it is always possible to find some good skiing no matter what the conditions.
